As a part of Venn Workshops: The Southern Experience, there were 3 incredibly styled sessions. The bridals were shot by Kelly & Jodi while we observed, and the other 2 sessions provided time for the attendees to work with posing the couple, maximizing lighting and location which resulted in a few of our own shots. The details were absolutely splendid dah-ling (now repeat in your best southern drawl) with an adorable 1960’s vintage gown from etsy & bouquet/boutonniere by Petal Flower Company. And can we talk about the beauty of Pharsalia Plantation?! I can’t get over the beauty – I mean, seriously-I’ve lived an hour away and never knew this magnificent place existed? With its sprwaling secluded antebellum structure overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains, manicured yard, antique decor, orchards as far as the eye can see…this is truly a hidden gem. It reminded me of the set of Gone with the Wind and the North & the South (I totally remember that miniseries with Patrick Swayze). Such an ideal place for a southern vintage infused event! And let’s not forget the lovely models are real-life newlyweds Krystin Medina & John Diez who were able to easily channel the old southern wedding charm.
