Who knew building a brand for your business was so much work? I certainly didn’t. In fact, I would compare it to choosing your home decor. Or better yet, your wedding colors & details. Overall, you want it to reflect YOU. Likes, obsessions, style, personality – you don’t want it to be just a whim because you’re going to be seeing alot of it. I think that is what has made branding so difficult for me. I would identify myself differently depending on the day. All in all, I would say I’m eclectic-basically liking a little of this and little of that and coordinating it all together, but not matchy matchy. My style is continually evolving, yet I am always drawn to classic, timeless silhouettes in clothing. I’ll throw in the occasional trendy dress or top (but never trendy pants…sorry but red jeans or MC Hammer pants just don’t make the cut). Instead I prefer to accessorize with trends – bright scarves, sequin clutches, friendship bracelets, big bold funky jewelry. Oh the jewelry – the more unique the better. In fact, I’m known for my big chandelier earrings, stacked bracelets & huge honkin’ necklaces with a t-shirt. Metallics drive me wild – I’ve come to adore gold more and more, especially the natural earthy tones. And sequins. Lots of sequins. I’m quite attracted to shiny glittery sparkly things, especially in the form of jewelry…and shoes. So I’m trying to utilize on my eclectic style & have come up with a few thoughts thanks to my best friend Pinterest to create a polished boho luxe feel. We’ll see how that meshes.
