[Belly] Charlie

I just love photographing this couple! For many reasons – I’ve known James & his family since childhood and he was pretty much an unofficial college roommate. James meets Lisa & they fall madly in love, get engaged and I have the honor of photographing their engagement & wedding (I gotta post a few of those, it was before the blog but definitely blog worthy!). Upon meeting Lisa for the first time I feel like I’ve known her just as long as I’ve known James. She’s super sweet, thinks about lighting & posing & props and knows what she wants-and has the most gorgeous eyes that show up amazingly sparkly in photos-my kinda gal!  Lisa came fully equipped with lots of ideas & props of her own for this session. We just HAD to re-use the VT clock used in their engagement session, this time to indicate her due date. (yeah I definitely need to post their other sessions) And of course we HAD to incorporate VT football since it’s both James and my own alma mater -Go Hokies! Only 3 people knew the baby’s name before the birth, including me – yes, that’s right they trusted me enough to disclose Charlotte “Charlie”s name-chosen in honor of his father. We incorporated it into several of the photos and the coast is clear to post since Charlie has arrived!

I am SOOOO happy for Lisa & James!!! I am very fortunate to have such great clients and feel exceptionally blessed when I have repeat clients – and get to document  their  life as it unfolds thru photographs. Lisa told me at this session that I was going to be a permanent fixture in their family activities and this was the 1st of many sessions to come for their expanding family (not counting their engagement session & wedding I photographed last year and then the birth of Charlie!). I am SO EXCITED to have been chosen to chronicle the years and the journey thru their lives individually and collectively as a family. To tell their story one photo session at a time.
