Oh how I enjoy small intimate weddings. They are always so personal, shared with the closest family and friends who are there in support of the union, the joining of two families, two people in love. Add in a phenomenal backyard garden (that looks like you should charge admission to enter) great family, the best bbq and brisket, cold beer, a rockin’ band and you have one heck of a wedding. Jennifer & Clint’s low-key backyard wedding was full of southern charm. Surrounded by those that matter most to them, their I dos were pledged to the backdrop of the groom’s parents incredible garden under a handmade arbor with paper lanterns dangling from the trees. Both the centerpieces as well as the aisle decor were d.i.y. with antique blue mason jars and flowers straight from the garden. Just 3 years prior I had the privilege of photographing Clint’s sister Jenny’s wedding in the same backyard under the same arbor (hints the names on the basketball goal)- 2 weddings held in the same location yet they were totally unique to the couples. In fact, at that wedding I might have joked that they were going to be the next ones married under that arbor…. (I’m starting to think they should rent it out as a venue!)
Jennifer + Clint together have a laid back southern charm that is light-hearted as well as passionate. Being very family oriented with quintessential southern hospitality they made sure to spend time chatting with each and every guest which doesn’t always get to happen at larger weddings. I thoroughly enjoying spending time with this family, being able to photograph their big life moments all while being treated like family – and feeling like it too. I am so honored to have been able to witness their union and spend the day celebrating their future. Congrats Jennifer + Clint!
