This week I created a little photo shoot with DIY details inspired by one of my favorite summer delights: peaches & cream straight from the local orchard with touches of vintage & turquoise. I’m quite the aspiring Martha Stewart so I love a DIY project. Combine that with the newest addition to the Sarah Goodwin Photography arsenal (aka 50mm upgrade), the overwhelming childish urge to play with my new toy & some totally awesome summer evening light and you have this …
DIY info:
Who knew doilies could be so hard to find? I wrapped the doilies around “vintage” bottles that I found when cleaning up the woods & roadway around the house, securing it with the ribbon & filling it with inexpensive carnations from the local market. I’m pretty sure the bottles were old liquor bottles, probably close to 40 years old or more. The gold bottle is a glass Coca Cola bottle spray painted. The “love” table numbers/pendants were stamped doilies with a ribbon accent on a corkboard frame. The package is kraft paper with 2 doily accents & ribbon. The vanity is a yardsale find (that needs a lil’ TLC)! You definitely don’t need to spend alot of money or time to create fun details.
