I initially met Raiza thru a photography forum, and like social media has a tendency to do-we already felt like we knew each other. We had such a great time shooting a wedding together (post coming soon!) that we decided to meet up for a fun photog day to give us a chance to play with each other’s toys, hang out, get goofy & chat. We talked photography of course, but more about life & being Hokies (and their upcoming schedule so I can decide what games to attend). Exploring a little bit of Charlottesville’s attractions we visited Ashlawn-Highland & the Jefferson Vineyards tasting room. Raiza is quite the wine connoisseur, being familiar with the different grapes, notes, years & winemakers in the area. Working at a local vineyard tasting room has it’s perks. I just like to drink it. (The Pinot Grigio & Meritage were my two faves!). So I trusted her suggestions & it was pretty fun to guess what I would like & not like based on the description as well as Raiza & our attendants explainations. I’m definitely a sweeter wine kinda gal. We are definitely birds of a feather & I am so thankful to have met this wonderful new friend 🙂
Isn’t she stunning!? So photogenic!
She graciously snapped a few of me (unfortunately my makeup had melted & hair flattened in the heat -excuses, excuses I know).
