Saturday my Mom & I hosted a bridal brunch in honor of my sister Ashley, who is getting hitched in August. I wanted a European bakery theme, which evolved into Shabby Chic Tea Party, complete with china, antique silverware, tea set, croissants & cupcakes. We couldn’t have done it alone that’s for sure! Her soon to be mother-in-law brought fresh flowers from her garden and filled the centerpieces with the most incredible blue & pink hydrangeas. The Candy Buffet was provided by Timeless Events and was so adorably color-coordinated and the apothocary jars were full to the brim with her favorite candies – swedish fish & sour gummy worms to name a few. Everyone went home with a goodie bag, including my 92 year old grandmother who appeared to have both hands full…:) And WOW O WOW did Wise Ridge Country Store make the most delectable and gorgeous cupcakes & cakepops. Each cupcake had a different handmade royal icing flower accent, everyone was talking about them and just thought they were “too pretty to eat”. EAT THE CUPCAKES LADIES! I really don’t need them in my house, I just can’t resist the temptation of cupcakes. I’m actually somewhat of a cupcake and icing connoisseur. And I’ve been known to lick the icing off the top and toss the cupcake – but I’ll tell you, these cupcakes didn’t have a crumb left! Thanks to all that came out to celebrate Ashley’s ‘happily ever after’ and that made it happen! Eat.drink & be married! xoxo
