I am such a arts & crafts girl. If I’m not doing photography then I’m probably making jewelry, notecards, wall art, scrapbooks, tie-dye, party favors, banners, invites….you name it. I’ve assisted with countless parties, showers, weddings…and usually my job is to make something. And with Pinterest as a new obsession I find tons of things to create but no reason to create them. Until 2012 that is… a goal this year is to do more of the DIY that I love, make some of those 1,000 projects I’ve found online, help a friend with her handmade wedding, create styled sessions & inspire brides who are looking for unique, personal, inexpensive, handmade details that reflect who they are. Viola.
Here is an idea that can have you making easy peasy favor bags in no time. There are so many uses such as wedding or shower favor bags, lavender drawer sachets, gift bags, jewelry travel bag, gift card holder, business card holder, client packaging…you just might find yourself surrounded by hundreds of tiny bags.
You’ll need 4 items….
-Muslin or burlap favor bags (These are 4 1/2 x 3, a pack of 20 -a Pick Your Plum daily deal)
-Stamp & ink (Michaels)
-Whatcha going put in that pretty bag? I used lavender for this demo to make a sachet that I can throw in my overnight bag to give my clothes a nice clean scent…great for when I can’t pack alot of items & have to layer, reuse and re-purpose them.
